Don't avoid conflict. Resolve it instead.

Don't try to eliminate conflict -- you can't. Learn to resolve it instead. We are living difficult times. We aren't handling conflict very well. But conflict, handled appropriately, can actually be a good thing. It is an opportunity for growth and development. If you want people in your organization to work better together, engage in more mission-focused behavior, and to be more productive, teach them how to stop fighting and start collaborating.
