Dr. Melvin Mahone has a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice and Corrections from the Union Institute & University, from Cincinnati, Ohio in 2002. He earned a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Corrections and Sociology from Chicago State University in Chicago, Ill in 1977 &1975. He has over 30 years of public speaking experience which involved leadership and training. He is a retired Criminal Justice professor.
Dr. Mahone will give a 1 hour keynote presentation on "Influence & Leadership: Influence is vital to leadership. Leadership is the process of influencing others to work toward a mutually desired vision. A leader influences people, not merely circumstances or trends.
I have always believed that to be an effective leader, you must first follow a dynamic leader that effectively led you to success. I believe that leaders make their people better, helping them to go higher than they could have by themselves.
The ideal leader has a mission, has a vision, knows how to communicate, supports and leads.
