You can backup your site on multiple levels. You can backup applications individually or you can backup everything together inside a zip file.
Full Backup:
On Application Manager main menu, select "Backup Site". This will create a single backup that can be restored later on a clean Memberkit installation or on the same Memberkit installation. This will include all user entries, your applications, all templates on your dev folder and events.
You can also use Full Backup to transfer or clone your changes to another Memberkit installation.
To restore an exising backup zip file, on Application Manager main menu, select "Restore Site" option and upload the zip file.
Warning: One exception is the upload folders. Since there are memory and POST data limits on most servers, uploaded files are NOT included in the browser generated full backups. You must back them up separately using FTP.
You must always make sure that your complete site is backed up periodically by your hosting provider. This is an important criteria when you are choosing a new hosting provider. Our hosting service does include daily, weekly and monthly periodical backups on an external server.
Application Backup:
To save a single application, right click on an application on the Application Manager and select "Backup Application" option. This will create a zip file that includes everything related to this application including the template and user entries.
To restore an existing application backup, on Application Manager main menu, select "Import Application" option and upload the zip file.
