Earlier this month, Lexeo was grateful to welcome Jacob Thompson, speaker, author, and aspiring Paralympian, to speak at our Town Hall. Jacob’s dreams of becoming a professional athlete took a different turn when he was diagnosed with Friedreich ataxia (FA) in his early 20s, but he has never let FA hold him back. Today, Jacob is a fierce advocate for the rare disease community and continues to pursue his athletic dreams.
Jacob’s story and determination to live life on his own terms was deeply moving and reinforced our purpose: to fundamentally change how genetic diseases are treated. Thank you, Jacob, for inspiring the Lexeo team!
