WSLS 10 featured Robert David Sr. and Project Imagine after the City of Danville received national attention for its innovative approach to youth development and violence prevention.
Danville stood out as a smaller municipality demonstrating that complex community challenges do not always require larger bureaucracies—they require intentional systems. Robert’s approach connected municipal leadership, workforce development, education, trusted relationships, community organizations, public safety, and individual development around shared outcomes.
The national recognition helped establish Project Imagine as more than a stand-alone intervention. It demonstrated how systems thinking can convert separate services and resources into a coordinated environment designed to develop people.
Robert now translates those same lessons for leaders confronting organizational silos, workforce challenges, talent development, community engagement, and sustainable systems change.
