Robert David Sr. was selected as a 2025 American Fellow of the Bicentennial Swedish-American Exchange Fund, supporting a professional research and knowledge exchange in Sweden.

During the fellowship, Robert engaged with municipal officials, community organizations, youth-development professionals, media representatives, and practitioners in Stockholm and Uppsala. His work examined how social systems, human needs, opportunity, belonging, workforce pathways, and community structures influence outcomes.

The experience expanded Robert’s work from a U.S.-based municipal model into an international comparative context. It reinforced an important principle that runs throughout his speaking and consulting work: the programs may differ across cultures and institutions, but human capacity is profoundly affected by the structures surrounding people.

The fellowship strengthened Robert’s international perspective on leadership, human development, public systems, and organizational strategy.
