This presentation is focused on creating cross cultural awareness and understanding by establishing roadmaps to develop prosperous and productive international relationships.
Conducting business in foreign countries requires a skill set that goes well beyond doing business in your own country. The lack of global communication skills can easily lead to misunderstanding and failure. The same goes for hosting international visitors in your country.
Understanding and managing cultural differences is an experience that will help build lasting relationships, personal as well as in business. Differences in culture, language, values, communication, negotiating, management, problem solving are all relevant components to be aware of and to apply appropriately in cross-cultural interactions.
Remember, there are more than 8 billion people who live on this earth, in more than 200 countries!
There are multiple elements of cross-cultural relationships that can be addressed in the form of a presentation and/or interactive workshop.
Based on the interest and focus of the audience, specific areas and topics can be addressed in the presentation.
These are the key elements to building strong and prosperous international relationships:
• Awareness - learning and understanding relevant aspects of other cultures
• Communication - the way people communicate, verbally and non-verbally
• Conducting business - negotiating with people in or from a foreign country
• Managing people - understanding and respecting local rules and laws in foreign countries
• Problem solving - never easy but cultural sensitivity can make it more complicated
