When it really comes down to it time is our most important commodity. Time is money and time is life. But... how much time is wasted by trying to save time? How much work is wasted, how much money is wasted and how much TIME is wasted when the small things are disregarded?????? The hardest thing I ever had to do as a leadersof Sailors was convince them that they would SAVE time by taking the extra time to do things right the FIRST time.... The THREE Requirements get change done right. 1. Understand the difference between Leadership and Management. To do change correctly, we must first understand the difference between Management and Leadership. Leadership is helping people adjust, cope with and excel through difficult change. The bigger the change the more important for people to get leadership right! 2. Understand the differences between Responsibility, Accountability and Authority. Without a clear understand of these and more importantly who has what effective and lasting change will never happen. 3. Delegation. Effective and Lasting change needs to be done by those who are impacted. Without the buy in, it will never happen.
