Our body is communicating with us every moment of every day, quietly (yet persistently!) giving signs and signals of where it is functioning at its absolute best and where it could use a little help. The question is, are we creating the time and space to listen? And if we are, do we then know what to DO about it??
In Body Speak, we will first learn how to clear away static in the channels of communication and tune into the infinite wisdom of our body. Then, we will explore kind, intentional, powerful responses to the narrative it is attempting to share.
The result is an immediate alleviation of tension, stress and dis-ease, and an awakening of energy, vibrancy and wellbeing.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE is to experience first-hand two powerfully effective yogic practices and gain the confidence to practice at home.
1. Alternate Nostril Breathing
Through the practice of Pranayama, or Breath Work, we provide an opportunity for attendees to not only connect with one another physiologically (entrainment), but also to focus, calm and clear their mind individually — preparation to effectively receive information throughout the conference. This technique is proven to reduce accumulated mental stress, release muscle tension and fatigue, balance left and right hemispheres of brain (logic+creativity), and induce a calm, happy mental state.
2. Six Directions of the Spine
The spinal column is like a super-highway of communication between our body and our mind — moving information throughout our system. When our back feels flexible and relaxed, this information flows freely and we easily integrate ideas and receive inspiration. When we experience tightness or tension in the muscles along spine — like most adults do! — information becomes blocked and we feel fatigued, anxious or irritable. This easy practice will provide immediate results and relief to invigorate the body, energize the mind and re-awaken potentiality of the spirit.
