My presentation has people walking away saying they have never been so moved. With tears and laughter I tell my life story in a way that makes the audience want to jump up and get involved.
Teachers are especially motivated by my talk because I credit them with making my life possible. I let them know how important they are to the children of our country. After hearing my story they know they do make a difference.
Students realize that if I can make it even with all the hardships I had to overcome, they, too, can make their dreams come true.
